Diversity in thinking and outlook and open discussions resulting in the best outcomes, has always been Ushankk’s philosophy.

It is not the skin-deep use of the “she” pronoun instead of “he,” DEI is part of our DNA. For Ushankk’s consultants, every mandate has been, and is, a DEI mandate, on which they enjoy working. Ushankk believes in diversity not only in talent pools, but also in thinking and outlook. We believe it leads to and open discussions resulting in the best outcomes.

Implementing DEI in the DNA of organizations may not be a straightforward task, given India's complex social fabric, riven by caste, language, religion and other socioeconomic divisions. However, it is heartening to note that both regulators as well as Indian corporations are doubling down on DEI as corporate strategy and showing the way to others, with programmes like gender-neutral parenting leave and setting measurable goals on the parameter for leaders. 

Whether it is search, or interim management, or assessment and development of leaders, diversity, equity and inclusion are never disregarded. Our client mandates now make a mention of their DEI-specific requirements.

Clients such as global capability centres (GCCs) and delivery centres of global corporations, and some non-clients, are asking us to help them implement a DEI culture in their organization.
